Children from this school with either mental handicap or learning problems had the opportunity to acquaint themselves with sailing. Our experienced instructors taught the children the basics of sailing in open sea vessels. At the same time the P.A.O.K children team played a game of volley against the Apollona Kalamarias children team, at the green park of the Marina Volunteers, students and teachers from ΤΕΦΑΑ and ΑΠΘ took part in the seminar. 

A trip to Poros and Aegina was organized with intent to introduce people with special needs to the sea and sailing. They sailed in a specially equipment SOLIS INVICTS.

People from the “Mental Health and Social Rehabilitation of Patients” followed a three – day seminar run by experienced sailing instructors from “Marathon Horizons”. This endeavor was aimed at a new alternative therapeutic approach as in Therapeutic Sailing.

Volunteers and members of “Marathon Horizons” along with athletes from the “Sailing Academy” took part in the cleaning of the woods and beach at Schinia an event that was organized by the marathon Council and various other organizations in the area.
